Bridge Inspection, Survey, and Repair

Keystone Co., Ltd. is a professional in bridge inspection with extensive experience and achievements.
Qualified professionals, including Road Bridge Inspectors, perform close-up visual inspections using rope access techniques, with numerous successful projects involving special bridges such as long-span bridges and high-pier bridges.
Additionally, by not using work vehicles or large equipment, traffic restrictions are often unnecessary, greatly contributing to cost reduction and shortened construction periods. We can also handle sites with time constraints, such as railway overpasses.
Inspections using rope access are effective for cost reduction as they eliminate the need for scaffolding, shortening the construction period.

Situations Where Rope Access Is the Preferred Solution

• When steep gradients prevent the use of inspection vehicles
• For pedestrian bridges or bridges with vehicle weight restrictions
• On remote islands or other sites where vehicle access is difficult
• When the bridge width is too great for inspection vehicles to reach the center beneath the girders
• For main towers, cables, or arch components that are inaccessible by aerial work platforms

Inspections & Investigations

Regular Inspections

In accordance with legal standards, we perform visual and tactile inspections of bridge components such as the underside of girders, bearings, and mid-span sections. We accurately record deterioration or damage and propose appropriate countermeasures.

Detailed Inspections for Repair Design

We conduct in-depth assessments of damaged structural elements to gather data essential for repair planning. This includes crack width measurements and detailed investigations of bearing areas.

Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) & Carbonation Testing

We perform magnetic particle testing on steel structures and carbonation testing on concrete to identify internal damage and deterioration.

Sample Collection for Laboratory Testing

We collect various specimens—such as concrete cores, rebar, and chloride ion samples—for laboratory analysis.

Repair Work

Sectional Restoration & Crack Repair

We remove damaged areas and restore them using appropriate repair materials, including filling cracks and surface restoration.

Steel Bridge Repairs

Our services include component replacement, repainting, bolt re-tightening, and match-marking for proper alignment and structural integrity.
