Staff Voices

— JYO / Interview Highlights

I knew we didn’t have fixed clock-in times, but I was still surprised to see people showing up at 10 or 11 AM… and some leaving at 3 PM. Turns out, coming in at all isn’t always necessary.

Several staff members drop off and pick up their kids from daycare. Some come in late, leave early, or leave midday and return with their child.
At first, it was 9 to 5, weekdays only… but it was pretty relaxed from the start. By the second year, totally free. As long as you get your work done, you’re good.
Commuting by car is okay. There’s support available and a large parking lot. The office is a bit far from the station.

“Sense of purpose?” It’s a little embarrassing to say, but things like bridge inspections and tackling infrastructure aging—those are serious responsibilities.

I was shocked to get a bonus. If we finish a 3-day job in 2 days by working hard, we might get paid for 2.5 days.

People often compliment our smiles.

I used to be afraid of driving, but they let me practice with one of the company’s smaller cars—and now I can drive!

The environment is completely free of power harassment.

Everyone is given high-spec desktops, laptops, tablets, and Wi-Fi routers. We have full support for remote and at-home work.

Safety checks are strict.
I worried about my lack of physical strength, but there were even more petite coworkers, so I felt reassured.
When you suggest improvements, they’re usually approved on the spot: “Go ahead and try it!” That openness is nice, though it makes you think twice before speaking up casually.
I heard rumors that although we get daily M&A offers… if something ever happened, plans are in place for us to quit together and start a new company.
I was surprised by how cheerful and friendly the atmosphere is on-site.
The company is clearly on a rapid expansion path.
If you’re working late or heading out early for a job, you can use a company car. There are also in-office accommodations, which is super helpful.
It’s not that they’re picky about manners—they’re serious. I assumed it was a laid-back small company, but they’re aiming to be top-tier, and they’ll push you to grow.
When we stay overnight on a job, we often gather at an izakaya afterward for a casual wrap-up. Team members rotate, so I get to talk to all kinds of people.
Both in the office and on-site, the vibe is lively and fun. It’s a flat company with no rigid hierarchy.
The more you speak up, the more chances you’re given. They really let you try new things.
I couldn’t handle being a typical salaryman… but here, if you show your motivation, they’ll respond positively.
I struggled in my last job due to bullying… but everyone here is warm and supportive.
The employee benefits are on another level. It’s been pleasantly surprising
We’ve expanded a lot. At first it felt cramped—now it’s spacious. It’s now a 60-person IT office.
On-site clients often say, “We were in trouble. You really saved us.”
I’d heard about the 35-year zero accident record, but in rope training, they drill safety into your body through repetition.
They told me, “Just flip the salaryman switch off.” It wasn’t easy, but I’m getting there.
Show your motivation.

The complete flex-time system means if you love your work, you can do it as much as you want. But if you’re not into the job, it might be tough.

Everyone talks normally, no formal speech. There’s no hierarchy—our president even avoids being called “President.”
ome senior staff come in as early as 6 or 7 AM… it varies.
I live in the company dorm, which is comfortable. But I’m now looking for an apartment. Since the housing allowance is generous, I’m eyeing a nicer place.
Some new hires quit right away—they expected a traditional blue-collar job.
I’d heard you can work as much as you want, whenever you want… and it’s true.
I do my job, speak up, take on new challenges, improve my skills, earn more, and I’m aiming to become a ¥10 million-a-year player.
At the interview, I was told, “You decide whether to join.” I was confused, but they said, “You know best whether you’ll thrive here.”
I wanted to work in disaster prevention, so this job is fulfilling.
There are several female senior staff members. It’s vibrant, but they’re also very serious about work.
I was worried drones would replace us, but it seems we coexist with them.
In my last job, requesting time off was a hassle. Here, you just write it on the shift sheet. Long vacations are no problem.
The salary is generous and time off is flexible, so I finally started doing things I’ve always wanted to.
They’re strict about time and reporting. It’s a small company, but they do things right.
The senior staff are unique, open, and tease each other in good fun. It’s a close-knit, relaxed environment.
I was nervous about the IT-looking office full of computers, but it’s not that intense, and they taught me everything patiently.
There’s a lot of non-field work too—and we’re paid for that as well.
In the first year, you get a daily base pay. With overtime and site bonuses, there’s plenty of motivation.
